Christmas menu ideas with Oscar® Kiwi!

December is here and Christmas just around the corner. Are you looking for delicious and festive recipes? Oscar® Kiwi gives you some great ideas to enlighten your Christmas plates with some kiwi fruits!

Festive Christmas and New Year’s Eve!

It’s kiwi season, it would be a shame not to enjoy it. Our little green fruit full of benefits also wants to be part of the party! You might already enjoy kiwis every morning to fill up with vitamins and minerals, you definitely have to add the fruits to your Christmas and New Year’s menu. Oscar® Kiwi is actually festive from appetizer to dessert!

Small toasts with kiwi fruits and trout eggs

For an appetizer or a light starter, your guests will love these crunchy toasts…

For 4 people


– 4 kiwis Oscar®

– 50 g of trout eggs

– 12 small round toast

– ½ lemon

– Salted butter

Peel the kiwis and cut them into thin slices.

Lightly toast the bread.

Wait until the toasts have cooled, butter each slice.

Place 3 slices of kiwi on each toast. Add 1 tsp of trout eggs and a few drops of lemon.

Keep refrigerated until serving.

Kiwi chutney and pan-fried foie gras

What’s better than a pan-fried foie gras to celebrate Christmas and NYE?

For 4 people


– 3 kiwis Oscar®

– 1 duck foie gras

– 20 cl of white vinegar

– 10 pieces of brown sugar

– Salt and pepper

Bring the white vinegar and sugar to the boil to obtain a gastrique sauce.

Peel the kiwis and cut them into cubes, add them in the gastrique and cook until you get a compote.

Cut the raw foie gras into slices and fry them.

Add salt and pepper.

Put the chutney on a plate with a round cookie cutter, add 2 slices of foie gras.

Cut small cubes of fresh kiwi to decorate.

Pavlova with cream and kiwi-mango duo

This pavlova is a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds!

– 3 kiwis Oscar®

– 4 egg whites

– 210 g of sugar

– 1 tbsp of cornstarch

– 25 cl of whipping cream

– 1 small mango

– 3 passion fruits

– 1 vanilla pod

– 1 tbsp of sugar

Preheat the over to 90°C (200°F).

Place a shit of baking paper on a baking tray.

Beat the eggs with a quarter of the sugar. When the egg whites are firm, gradually add the rest of the sugar and the cornstarch. The egg whites should be firm and shiny.

Place the meringue on the baking tray in circles with a little peak. Make a hollow in the center with a spoon. Bake for 2 hours.

Split the vanilla pod and remove the pulp.

Whip the cream with the vanilla pulp. Place in the refrigerator.

Peel the mango and the kiwis. Cut them into cubes.

Cut the passion fruits, pour the juice and seeds into a saucepan with a tbsp of sugar. Gently bring to the boil and cook for 2 minutes. Place aside.

Place the whipped cream in the center of the meringues.

Sprinkle the cream with the diced fruit.

Pour a little passion fruit syrup over each Pavlova.
