Tiredness, fatigue, lack of energy… Here are 5 tips to boost your energy every day and get back into shape!
Food is like fuel in a car. If you don’t put the right kind in, it’s likely to break down! It’s the first thing to check if you’re feeling tired. Go for fresh, seasonal produce, such as kiwifruit, but also fibre-rich cereals, dried fruit, etc. What’s more, kiwifruit is rich in vitamin C, which will help you fight fatigue naturally. Eliminate processed industrial products that are often full of sugar, as they cause blood sugar peaks followed by a sharp drop in energy.
Getting out into the fresh air and taking advantage of daylight to get moving is a good way to recharge your batteries. Lack of exposure to daylight and a sedentary lifestyle tend to generate fatigue. Daylight triggers the secretion of cortisol, a wakefulness hormone, but also positive stress. Doing some regular physical activity outdoors and getting some fresh air will be really beneficial!
If you’re still feeling tired, why not take a short nap – no more than 20 minutes – after lunch? It’s enough to recharge for the rest of the day!
Stress tends to drain a lot of energy on a daily basis and can therefore lead to fatigue. If this is the case, consider deep breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, etc., to reduce stress and anxiety.
If you suffer from chronic fatigue, it’s obviously essential to look after your sleep. Stop drinking coffee in the evening, eat a light diner, go to bed at a regular time and turn off the screens 1 to 2 hours before going to bed.
Put these new habits together and your energy will increase! ☺️
