Kiwi: sweet and salty recipes

Have you ever tried kiwi fruits in your daily recipes? Well, you should! This is actually a great way to try new flavors… Have a look at these 3 delicious recipes made by Oscar® kiwi.

You probably have the habit of eating kiwi fruits for breakfast or dessert, mostly with a spoon, but have you thought about introducing it into sweet and sour recipes? You’ll be amazed at how well Oscar® kiwi goes with some salty ingredients.

Here are 3 simple and great recipes you should try. You will love the contrasts!

For 4 people


– 2 ripe Oscar® kiwis

– 4 slices of wholemeal bread

– 1 slice of raw ham

– 100g of cream cheese

– Balsamic vinegar cream

Slightly toast the bread.

Spread the cheese on the toasts.

Peel the kiwis and cut them into thin slices.

Cut the ham into strips.

Place the kiwi slices on one side of the toast and the ham on the other side.

Drizzle with some balsamic vinegar cream.

Serve fresh as an appetizer or as a starter.

If you’re a vegetarian, replace the ham with avocado slices and enjoy!


For 4 people


– 4 ripe Oscar® kiwis

– 2 avocados

– 300g spinach leaves

– 1 small bunch of coriander

– 2 tbsp of walnut oil

– 1 tsp of lemon vinegar

– Salt and pepper

Peel the kiwis and the avocados, cut them into thin slices.

Pour the spinach leaves into a bowl, add the kiwis and the avocados.

Cut the coriander and add with the rest of the ingredients.

Prepare the dressing with the oil and the vinegar and season the salad.

It’s ready!

You can also add some pomegranate seeds, nuts, etc., to add more flavors.


For 4 people


For the kebabs:

– 1 Oscar® kiwi

– 500g of white fish (cod, monkfish, etc.)

– 4 wooden skewers

– Olive oil

For the sauce:

– 4 Oscar® kiwis

– 1 lemon juice

– 1 tablespoon of olive oil

– 1 tsp of sugar

The skewers:

Preheat the oven in grill position.

Cut the fish into cubes.

Soak the skewers in water so they won’t burn.

Thread the fish onto the skewers and put them in a dish.

Add salt and pepper.

Drizzle with olive oil.

Put in the oven for 15 minutes, the fish should be tender.

The sauce:

Mix the kiwi fruits, the lemon juice, the olive oil and the sugar in a blender.

Cook for 10 minutes over low heat.

Arrange the skewers on a plate and put the sauce in a separate bowl.

Peel and cut the remaining kiwi to decorate the plate.

Serve immediately!
