French toast with Oscar kiwifruit

Ingredients

  • 4 Oscar green kiwis
  • 1 brioche
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 200ml milk
  • 50g almond powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 30g butter at room temperature
  • Maple syrup

Recipe

Cut the brioche into thick slices.

Whisk the eggs, sugar and milk in a shallow dish. Add the almond powder. Combine well.

Quickly moisten the slices of brioche on both sides in the mixture.

Melt the butter in a frying pan, fry the slices until evenly golden on both sides.

Peel and slice the kiwis.

Plate up, top the brioche with kiwi slices and a drizzle of maple syrup. © Poire & Cactus
